A Wee Nippy at the Rink

Not necessarily something a city wants to be known for, but for a period of time it was colder here than at the North Pole (and even Mars).  To some degree we wear it as a badge of honour.  Nevertheless, the technical term for the current weather system we are enjoying is Really Freaking Cold (or RFC among the deep thinkers).  And so it is that I will open 2014 with a post from the local rink where.  The Zamboni just did it’s thing, polishing the ice to a glassy sheen.  I was getting my gear set up to shoot the pending game and saw this scene emerge.  Rattled off a few frames with a vision towards this black and white expression, processed in Lightroom.

Thankfully I have warmed up since.
