I had the good fortune to visit beautiful Banff, Alberta a few weeks ago but only now am loading my favorite shots from the trip. It’s been years since I have been there and, frankly, little has changed. The Rockies are still pretty damn rocky.

Here’s a good idea. Take a really steep cliff along the water. And build houses and so forth all the way up.
Such is Positano, Italy. City motto: what goes down, must come up. Impossibly vertical to support the infrastructure of a city it still stands and is beautiful once you get used to the constant elevations. Really quite a bizarre experience. Actually the whole Amalfi Coast is quite an odd and exotic area. But I digress.

The apex.
It seems appropriate that my high watermark for our adventure also sits at the mid-point of our trip. This courtesy of my Travel Planning Wife who mapped the whole thing down to the picosecond. From the get-go my highest anticipation of this Italian vacation was Tuscany (despite our itinerary taking us to the beautiful Amalfi Coast and historic Rome afterwards). When I think of Italy, I think of wine country and rolling hills and an easy-going lifestyle with great food and grape.

Back from a short-but-sweet trip to Canada’s premier wine country (in my humble opinion – really haven’t been wowed by Niagara grape). Kelowna is a jewel that offers a beautiful lakefront setting, consistent weather, and a casual atmosphere. And did I mention the wine?

Enjoying beautiful Kelowna, BC for a company meeting. Equally beautiful weather yesterday as I wandered around the downtown lakefront area. The clouds heading towards us over the mountains threatened to put an end to that right quick.
